This July and August we’re challenging you to take part in
My MS Marathon to raise money for
MS-UK’s Counselling Service.

Funds Raised

Wherever you are across the country we’re asking you to join our #TeamPurple family and take on your own kind of marathon using the number 26 through time or distance, and do it your way for MS-UK. This is your challenge, so whether you knit, game, bake, dance, hop, skip, jump, walk, wheel or run sign up to the challenge to make sure no one has to face MS alone.

Simply dream up your challenge, do it in the months of July and August and raise £100 for MS-UK. Everyone that raises over £100 will receive an exclusive My MS Marathon medal!

Around 130,000 people across the UK live with multiple sclerosis

That’s 1 in every 500

MS-UK is a national charity providing vital information and emotional support to anyone affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). Alongside other services, MS-UK delivers the only national telephone counselling service specifically for people living with MS. We help people to make sense of their life with MS through a series of counselling sessions delivered by our team of professional counsellors who understand what it is like to live with MS.

Whether it’s coming to terms with a diagnosis of MS, helping people deal with a relapse, or helping with mental health issues such as anxiety, low mood or depression our counsellors are there to help people with MS live happier and healthier lives.

MS-UK's counselling service

One person who benefited from MS-UK’s counselling service is Vicki who, eight months after her diagnosis, was struggling to cope.

"I had so much pent-up anger and didn’t know what the future held," she explains. "Counselling from MS-UK really helped me to communicate how I was feeling. It was very beneficial."

The cost of a counselling session with one of our trained MS counsellors is around £50. Please help us support more people through counselling by taking part in My MS Marathon this July and August.

Thank you from all the team at MS-UK.
